Since the advent of affordable lithium-ion polymer batteries and fool proof 2.4 GHz spread spectrum remote control systems and components, electric powered model aircraft (and vertical flight drones) popularity has skyrocketed.  As a self professed hacker, here's my approach to building and flying a FLAK from Brooklyn Aerodrome, with various modifications.
